Dr. ‘Tosin Tume is a performing artiste, theatre creator, scholar, and award-winning playwright. She holds a BA in English (University of Ilorin), MA in Theatre Arts (University of Abuja), and PhD in Performing Arts (University of Ilorin).

She is an Executive Committee member of the African Theatre Association (AfTA), and African Women Playwrights Network (AWPN). She is also a member of Women Playwrights International (WPI), the International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People (ASSITEJ), Association of Dance Scholars and Practitioners of Nigeria (ADSPON), and Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA).

Dr. Tume teaches in the Theatre and Media Arts Department of Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria, and she is a Research Associate with the Arts of Africa and the Global South Research Programme of Rhodes University, South Africa.
