EDUM Sunday, PhD holds Cert., B.A and MA in Theatre Arts from the University of Port Harcourt and a PhD in Theatre and Film Studies from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.

He teaches, Directing, Acting, Theatre Practice and Production Workshops in the Department of Theatre and Film Studies, University of Port Harcourt. He has served and is currently serving in different capacities at the University of Port Harcourt, including Secretary of the Faculty of Humanities Accreditation Committee, Member, Students’ Disciplinary and other Related Matters, Associate Dean, and Student Affairs.

He has also served as the Public Relations Officer and is currently the Assistant General Secretary of the Society of Nigeria Theatre Artists (SONTA).

He has published in different local and foreign Journals and co-edited books, including- Reflections: A Collection of Essays on Julie Okoh’s Plays, Theatre and Economic Recession: The Quest for Survival, Directing on the Nigerian Stage, and 100 Years of Worship and Ministry: The Story of First Baptist Church, Port Harcourt.
