Epochi-Olise Etuwe Ruth studied at the University of Ibadan, where she holds a B.A. [Hons.], M.A. and Ph.D; a director, actor, costumier and theatre manager.

She is currently lectures in the Department of Theatre Arts, Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI), Ebonyi State, Nigeria.

Epochi-Olise is a Fellow of the Ife Institute of Advanced Studies (IIAS), whose research and teaching interests cuts across Dramatic Literature, Theatre for Development, Costume Arts, Children’s Theatre, Gender, Cultural and Performance Studies.

She has published academic papers in reputable local and international journals as well as reviewed and co-edited articles in national and international journals.
