Chisimdi Udoka Ihentuge hails from Umuakpuru Amiyi Umuaka in the Njaba LGA Imo State.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Theatre Arts of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Anambra State Nigeria, a Master of Arts (M.A.) and PhD both in Film Studies of the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State Nigeria.

Before joining the services of the Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education Owerri Imo State, he taught at the Western Delta University Oghara, Delta State.

His research interest is on Media Arts and Film Studies. He has been the Assistant Secretary of SONTA.

Chisimdi is a practicing catholic married to Mrs Uchenna Nnedinma Ihentuge, also a theatre artist, and the marriage is so far blessed with four children- 3 boys and a girl. Chisimdi Udoka Ihentuge enjoys reading, coin collection, and doing works of charity.
