Dr. Jonathan Mbachaga studied at Benue State University, Makurdi, where he obtained his B.A. and M.A. degrees. He proceeded to the University of Abuja, where he obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in Theatre Arts with speciality in Applied Theatre. His first play, Widows Might, was published in 2008. His second play, Security Risk was also published in 2008. His recent book, Theatre for Development: An Approach for Safer Sex Education, was released in 2011. He edited Leadership Corruption and Governance in Nigeria and Beyond (2014). He co-edited Theatre and Socio Criticism: The Dramaturgy of James Alachi (2014) with Prof. Sunday Ododo. He also co-edited Literary Perspectives on Corruption in Africa 2010 with Prof. Barth Oshionebo. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Theatre and Media Arts, Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Nigeria.
